Dr. Maya De Zoysa, MD FRCPC

Dr. Maya De Zoysa is a Respirologist who has lived in North Bay for over 5 years. A graduate of McMaster University’s medical program, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at The Ottawa Hospital, and her Respirology Fellowship at the prestigious Firestone Institute in Hamilton.

She is now the Staff Respirologist and Internist at the West Nipissing General Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at NOSM University. Her clinical interests include management of severe airways disorders, and she is passionate about promoting respiratory education for healthcare trainees.

Kim Danis, Medical Secretary, Retired RPN

Kim Danis is a retired RPN who graduated from Collège Boréal.  She had worked at the WNGH for 13 years and began her career there. She is a Sturgeon Falls local. She has been with Dr. De Zoysa since she has opened her practice in Sturgeon Falls in 2020.

Oshauntáe Foster, BSc. Biology, MLA

Oshauntáe is a multilingual healthcare professional who has lived in Northern Ontario for over 5 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Laurentian Univeristy, a diploma in Medical Technology from Algonquin College and certifications in French, Spanish, and Healthcare IT.

Throughout her career, Oshauntáe has demonstrated exceptional organizational and technical skills in both clinical and laboratory environments. From analyzing critical lab results to coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, she have contributed to the efficient operation of healthcare facilities. Her commitment to quality improvement, patient confidentiality, and adherence to patient experience reflects a strong work ethic and a dedication to advancing healthcare outcomes.
